Main holiday types this school year

• Spring Break — BC schools typically take two weeks in mid-to-late March; Ontario calls it March Break (one week in mid-March)
• Pro D Days (BC) / PA Days (ON) — Professional development days for teachers; 5–7 spread through the year on irregular dates
• Winter Break — About two weeks from late December through early January
• Statutory holidays — Thanksgiving, New Year, Easter Monday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Labour Day, and more
